The event will be great for spectators to experience the mountain bike racing action up close – entry to the event centre is free. Discover the beautiful Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Garden and its surrounds. The race is a relay-style race. Team riders of the first lap (who start the race for their teams) can after 1 lap hand over to the next team member or keep riding – that's up to the teams to decide. As soon as you ride 1 lap per solo rider, respectively per team, your time counts and is valid in the final results. Mixed male/female teams: each team needs to record at least one female AND one male lap to be in the results. The rider in the solo categories / the team with most laps (and shortest time thereafter) wins. If there are riders/teams in a category with the same number of laps, the fastest total lap time determines the ranking. Racing options and categories 12 Hours – Categories for male, female, mixed (if appl.): Solo, Pairs, Teams of 3, 4 and Open 6, as well as Junior Team of 4 Special sub-categories Masters (40+) Super Masters (50+) Singlespeed Free Feed Zone The race will have a dedicated feed zone where we will have electrolytes, gels, fruits and other snacks ready for you.Reach your goal - Solo challenge Quite a few in the solo racing field will be aiming to win, however, the Jetblack Wild Wombat will offer all solo racers a 'wild solo challenge' too: you can chase YOUR personal goal of how many kilometers you aim to complete in the 12 hours of racing time. Tell us when you sign up online - this will be displayed on a screen at the event centre and our cheer squads can help you reach that goal! So, if you're a group of friends you could sign up as solo riders and ride all day and into the night TOGETHER and not worry about lap times or general or even category classifications too much, but help each other chase that kilometre goal. Now there's an idea for a social kind of race that will still make you push yourself.
