Batemans Bay parkrun # 115 - 14/07/2018

A big shout out to Lauren Evans! Lauren broke her 20 minute goal for the 5km run! Amazing effort!

Lauren is one of our favourite regulars having completed 83 Parkruns. 75 of them on our course and has been the first female over the line nearly every run. She also has volunteered 11 times for us! Lauren shows us that if you set realistic goals for yourself and put in the effort anything can be achieved. Congratulations to you Lauren from all your Parkrun friends! We also welcomed three visitors from Denver, Colorado to our Parkrun! It was their first ever and they loved it! They thought our seaside setting was a beautiful backdrop for our run. Sometimes we forget to smell those roses because we are just trying to get to the finish line! Thanks for having your first run with us and we hope you do many more. Safe travels!

We are very grateful to the volunteers who made this event happen: Bec HUGHES, Kathryn JEFFERY, Michael KENNEDY, Bernadine LAMBERT, Neil MACKAY, Debbie MCCARTNEY, Stephen PHIPPS, Kim YOUNG

New runners, joggers and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome to join this friendly and free weekly event. We meet every Saturday morning at 7.50 am for the 8.00 am start. The venue is Rotary Park near the Marina roundabout on Beach Road in Batemans Bay. You can find out more about us and see lots of photographs on our Batemans Bay parkrun Facebook page. If you fancy parkrun, you need to register online at www.parkrun.com.au. You will be allocated a personal barcode which needs to be printed and brought to parkrun so that you get a recorded result as well as parkrun fun.

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand.
