South Coast Greens members met in Batemans Bay on Sunday 22nd July to swap stories, ideas, lessons and priorities in the lead up to two forthcoming elections. Delegates came from Bega and from Wollongong and everywhere in between.
Guest speaker Dr Jane Elek from the Nature Coast Marine Group backed up by Justin Field Greens MLC presented the state of play regarding the Batemans Marine Park. Hardworking Lee Rhiannon, retiring Greens Senator for NSW in Federal Parliament updated the meeting about the inspiring Greens policy directions in the public housing sector. The meeting included three local government Greens councillors, including our Pat McGinlay, plus the already preselected Gilmore Greens candidate Carmel McCallum. Three Sydney Greens ran segments on IT, messaging and the use of FaceBook.
Held 3 times a year these informal Greens get togethers provide the welcome chance to network and re-focus on the months ahead.
