James Crabb, Four Winds’ Artistic Director brings you the third event in his 2018 series of world-class performances in the exceptional acoustics of the Windsong Pavilion, Barragga Bay, NSW.

Former Artistic Director of the Four Winds Festival and virtuosic recorder player Genevieve Lacey is joined for this international collaboration by Lars Ulrik Mortensen (Harpsichord) and Jane Gower (Baroque Bassoon) for a program exploring fine composers music from the Baroque period. This concert will feature a Willard Martin harpsichord generously donated by Lee Primer and Warwick Anderson.

Nicolas Chédeville (ca.1687-1749) (attrib. A.Vivaldi) Sonata no. 6 in g minor from “Il Pastor Fido” for recorder and continuo Vivace – Fuga da Capella – Largo – Allegro ma non presto

Michel de la Barre (ca.1675-ca.1743) Sonata in G Major, Book 2,9, “L’inconnue” for recorder and continuo [Ouverture] – Chaconne

Johann Ernst Galliard (ca.1687-1749) Sonata no 3 in F major for bassoon and continuo Largo – Allegro – Adagio – Allegro assai – Spritoso

George Frederic Handel (1685-1759) Sonata in F major, HWV 369, for recorder and continuo Larghetto – Allegro – Alla Siciliana – Allegro

Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767) Sonata in d minor, TWV 41:d4, for recorder and continuo Affettuoso – Presto – Grave – Allegro

Tickets $80, 16yrs and under free.
