The Clyde River and Batemans Bay Historical Society is an incorporated volunteer organisation, formed on 25 July 1977. The Society, through the Museum, is the storehouse of our community's history. The Society is recognised as a key community cultural resource and visitor attraction through development, maintenance and promotion of the Old Courthouse Museum and its Collections. Membership The Society welcomes all levels of skill and life experience. They offer a range of projects and activities including photography, administration, exhibition building, day to day maintenance, publications and fund-raising - not forgetting an interest in promoting local history! They offer regular social activities, training opportunities, and a bi-monthly newsletter.
