The 1st Batemans Bay Scout Group was well represented at the NSW Australian Scout Medallion (ASM) Presentation Ceremony in Sydney on Sunday 12 August. Joshua, Ella and Hayden were among a group of 33 NSW Scouts presented with the ASM. The presentation was made by Mr Neville Tomkins OAM, Chief Commissioner of Scouts NSW following a message from the Governor of NSW His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d).

The Australian Scout Medallion is the highest award for a scout to achieve under 15 years of age. It is a non-competitive program where each Scout takes part in adventure including overnight camps, hikes and leadership-based activities designed to encourage their personal, social and leadership skills.
