Rae tailors the workshops to meet the individual needs of participants, and each week brings a variety of resources to show what is possible in a range of genres including fiction and life stories (for adults or children), travel memoir, historical fiction, poetry, biography or autobiography. Rae has just recently mentored at the Far South Coast Writers Retreat at Kianinny and has mentored south coast writers including Angelica Erpic Jo Baker (biography); Noel Smart Of Roads and Rainbows (forthcoming travel/memoir); and Jennifer Severn, whose memoir Coming Home to Squabbling Ground, was short-listed in the prestigious Finch Memoir prize.
