Batemans Bay Evening View Club: Guest Speaker from IRT

The last meeting of the Batemans Bay Evening View Club was on Wednesday 8 August at the Catalina Country Club. After a delicious meal our guest speaker, Helen Quinn from IRT Sara Claydon Aged Care Facility at Ulladulla gave us an information talk on aged care facilities and the different levels of care offered. This was very interesting as it is a very complex issue for people when they are looking at care for themselves or a member of their family. Helen also had information leaflets for all members of the club in an information bag to take away and read if interested. At the conclusion of the talk Sara was presented with a small gift by Nancy Carter.

There were five members celebrating their birthday in August – Leslie Handley, Julie Teer, Robyn Doherty, Sharolyn Adams and Olive Ryrie. Leslie, Sharolyn and Olive were presented with a chocolate to celebrate by Nancy Carter

The next meeting of the Batemans Bay Evening View Club will be held on Wednesday 12 September 2018 at the Catalina Country Club at 6.00 pm for 6.30 pm with a two-course meal at a cost of $28.00. Visitors and guests are always welcome to come and join everyone and enjoy an evening with women from all walks of life and listening to a great guest speaker.

Also this month the Batemans Bay Evening View Club ran the Bunnings BBQ on Saturday 11 August as part of our fundraising activities for the year. The View Club supports the Smith Family and the Learning for Life Program and helping young Australians in need to get the most out of their education. This was a fun day for us but also hard work.
