Walk to d’Feet MND Mamma Mia Movie night on Thurs and Walk on Sunday



Mamma Mia WALK TO D-FEET MND MOVIE FUNDRAISER on this Thursday night at Perry Street Cinemas commencing at 5.30pm.

Guests will enjoy nibbles in the foyer before the movie commences at 6pm. Raffle tickets will be available to purchase at the event, and there will be lucky door prizes as well. The Movie is "Mama Mia ....here we go again". Tickets are just $15 each and are available to purchase now by contacting Megan or at the door. It won't be late night All are welcome to attend.


The Walk to d’Feet MND Batemans Bay will take place Sunday 26th August 2018.

Gather your family, friends, colleagues and even pooches, regardless of age or fitness level, at the Corrigan’s Beach Reserve Beach Road Batehaven. Together, we can take a big step towards d’Feeting this devastating disease.

The Motor Neurone Disease Association works to support people living with all types of MND, their families and carers. They advocate for people with MND; provide loan equipment including electric wheelchairs, communication devices, electric beds and walking frames; provide education, workshops and seminars; and raise funds for research.

“The support we’ve had from the community is inspiring,” said Graham Opie, CEO, MND NSW. “We couldn’t be more thankful to those giving up their time to help us in this important cause.”

“The cause of MND is not known and at present there is no cure,” said Mr Opie “However, with support through events such as these, we can make a difference in the lives of people who have MND, and help to one day find a cure.” For further information on the Walk contact Kym Nielsen Fundraising Manager MND NSW on kymn@mndnsw.asn.au or 0419480195 What a day we have planned, not only do we have the walk to raise funds and awareness but we also have the following; BLUE COLOUR THEME Market Stalls, Food Vendors and Coffee Van Scouts will be running a sausage sizzle DJ to entertain the crowd and help with the warm up prior to the walk Ice Bucket Challenge - We are looking for people to be nominated to take part, they must donate or fund raise a min of $100 to participate Fire, Police and Rescue Displays Scouts will earn a badge for Community Work from Sharon Penman and MND for helping out on Sunday Raffles, Giveaways Best Dress prizes to both people and pets. A heartfelt round of applause to Sharon Penman who has been working tirelessly to organise donations and many of the events on the day Sharon is a truly remarkable and inspirational women who deserves the biggest recognition for all she has achieved.
