Batemans Bay parkrun # 120 - 18/08/2018

Above: Another lovely family have joined our Parkrun community! On their second only run Magnus, Fiona and Isabella Marveus all scored themselves PB’s! Well done and we look forward to getting to know you all in the coming weeks!

Above: This is what makes volunteering at parkrun so much fun! You get to meet some really neat people! Geoff Short on the right runs the Bathurst parkrun regularly! Wasn’t he happy with our winter temperature at Batemans Bay! He bought his mate along for his first ever parkrun and didn’t he skip through it! A convert in the making. They loved our seaside course which is also a good reminder to us all here that we have one of the most beautiful parkrun courses in Australia! Please come back with all your Bathurst mates! Congratulations to the six out of our thirty nine runners this week that achieved personal best times! Wendy Counsell Magnus Marveus Tony Dawe Isabella Marveus Fiona Marveus Jacqueline O’Leary. Well done. It was a perfect morning to be out and about!

A very special thanks to our volunteers this morning. The mornings always run so smoothly when happy faces come along to be part of the parkrun volunteer crew! It is always so enjoyable! Jill Brown Nev Madden Bernie Lambert Mat Lambert Tracy Denning Garran Carnall Yma Carnall

Parkrun promotes community, health and well being at your own pace whether you're wanting to beat a personal best or walk and admire the beautiful scenery. So, see you there next Saturday?

New runners, joggers and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome to join this friendly and free weekly event. We meet every Saturday morning at 7.50 am for the 8.00 am start. The venue is Rotary Park near the Marina roundabout on Beach Road in Batemans Bay. You can find out more about us and see lots of photographs on our Batemans Bay parkrun Facebook page. If you fancy parkrun, you need to register online at www.parkrun.com.au. You will be allocated a personal barcode which needs to be printed and brought to parkrun so that you get a recorded result as well as parkrun fun.
