THE August meeting of Moruya RSL Sub-branch was short and sweet.
Sixteen members were there to see senior vice-president Kevin Setter present new member Paul Barkley (ex-CMF) with his membership card and badge. Paul told members something of his father, Sub-branch president Harold’s condition. He was physically fine, he said, but had a few problems.
Much of the meeting was taken up with discussion of the obligations of RSL sub-branches revealed as a result of upsets with Sydney Headquarters last year.
There is still uncertainty as to whether the sale of poppies for this year’s Armistice Day and badges for 2019 Anzac Day will be possible, but members were urged to buy Legacy Day badges next month.
