Your up to date fishing report from Tackle World Moruya
Moruya and Tuross Rivers Flathead are starting to bite with reports of a few good sized fish caught around Garland town flats. Black and gold Squidgie fish in 70mm are working well.Anglers that have taken the time to pump some fresh nippers off the flats have had good success on luderick and bream. The rock wall near the entrance of Ryan's creek has produced this past week.Whiting are being caught down the front of the Tuross system near the boat ramp. It has been a tough bite so fresh baits like squirt worms and nippers are definitely the way to go. The four-ways in Tuross has seen a few flathead caught using both bait and soft plastics. All fish caught were sitting around the edges in very shallow water. Luderick are hanging extremely close to the snags around the highway bridge. Again fresh baits like nippers are working well. Bass season is opening tomorrow! And we have stocked the shelves with some great lures including Megabass sigletts, Tiemco soft shell cicadas and the all new range of Daiwa double clutch in 60, 75 and 95mm. Rocks and beaches The salmon have started to slow down a little this week but there are still a few being caught. Early morning, late afternoon and the change of tide are the key times. Drummer have been caught off the rocks out at Bingi with crab and peeled prawns working well.The odd squid are being caught here and there around South Heads and also south Broulee areas.
