Broulee Rural Fire Brigade GET READY WEEKEND Sept 22nd and 23rd

Broulee Rural Fire Brigade is participating in Get Ready Weekend on Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 September. From 10am until 4pm. Drop in and meet your local brigade, have cuppa and chat, the kids can check out the trucks the station and have a snag. Let us help you, get ready for the fire season. The Get Ready Weekend provides an opportunity for members of the community to meet their local firefighters, learn about local risk and understand what they need to do to prepare for the bush fire season. It is also an opportunity for our members to encourage residents to discuss and review their Bush Fire Survival Plan. Get Ready is the largest mobilisation of volunteer firefighters for the NSW Rural Fire Service outside of firefighting operations, and this year we are aiming to have more than 550 brigades involved across the state. Get Ready Weekend 2018 will be held on the weekend of 22-23 September at the Broulee Station on Saturday/Sunday from 10am until 4pm. Cameron’s H Hardware Moruya are taking part of the event. Camerons H Hardware Moruya will be in attendance with equipment to show our residents what they need to do use to prepare for the bush fire season, with a display of garden equipment, pumps, generators – anything that they stock and sell that residents could use to prepare for bush fire. Volunteering The RFS is made up of volunteers from all walks of life that donate their time and skills to the organisation, becoming a volunteer might be easier than you think, and there are roles other than firefighting that we need volunteers for as well.
