Eurobodalla community groups are invited to apply for grants to help them promote a healthy and active community.
Grants of up to $500 are now available from Eurobodalla Council to help non-profit community groups take the lead in running activities or developing local projects.
Council’s Community Development and Youth Coordinator Zoe Morgan said the grants aimed to foster community initiatives that improved the health and wellbeing of people in Eurobodalla.
“Council distributed $12,641 under the program last year, to 27 local groups and organisations,” she said.
“In the past groups have received grants for things like singing workshops, signage for community parks, equipment for woodcraft and dog training, seniors lunches, healthy breakfasts for students, a seniors tennis tournament and safety equipment for dragon boating.
“We encourage imaginative suggestions and, in particular, ideas for activities that improve access and/or encourage people with disability to participate.”
All applications should be made via Council’s online grants portal www.esc.nsw.gov.au/inside-council/council/grants. Applications close Tuesday 9 October 2018.
