LOCAL CLUBS PLAY AT NSW 2018 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Teams from Tuross Head, Malua Bay, and Tomakin have recently competed at STATE LEVEL CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY-OFFS. These were held at Taren Point in the first week of September.

This is a major achievement and these teams should be very proud that they have represented their club and our district at this level. Many of the players they played against compete at Australian and international events.

The teams from the clubs were:

Tomakin Senior Pairs (below) – Jennie Hogan & Milka Starkovski – reached the semi finals and were defeated by Cabramatta.

Malua Bay Senior Fours (below) – Gay Biggs, Helen Rees, Alison Innes & Pat Bill – went down by one shot in the first round ( on the last end)

Tuross Head Open Pairs – Denise Lidbury ( sub for Doreen Monks) & Sue Fahey – reached the quarter finals and were defeated by Sarah Bodington Team from Tuncurry.

Tuross Head Open Fours (below) – Averial Cox, Rose Farrington, Sue Fahey & Denise Lidbury reached the quarter finals, and were defeated by the Natasha Scott team from Raymond Terrace who went on to win the fours.

Tuross Head Triples – Averial Cox, Rose Farrington & Denise Lidbury who were defeated in the first round by Lake Cathie who were the eventual runners up of the triples.

CONGRATULATIONS and thank you for being wonderful ambassadors for your clubs and our District.
