Long Beach is Pinking Up this October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
Saturday, October 6 is "Pink Up Your Town LONG BEACH" where the community is invited to raise funds to help make life that little bit easier for individuals and families experiencing breast cancer.
All in support of the McGrath Foundation, there will be a ton of events and activities planned. With shops & businesses also getting involved!
The 6th of October, get on down to Sandy Place Reserve at 9:30am for the Pink Dog Walk followed by a fun Pink Cricket Match and sausage sizzle!
The day starts with a pink dog gathering at 9.30am followed by a beach walk from 10am.
At 11am, there will be pink cricket and pink tug-o-war contested between survivors and families versus the rest of the world.
Don’t worry if you haven’t any thing pink to wear as there will be hair colouring and face painting.
For the hungry there will be a sausage sizzle from 12.30pm and of course pink cakes to enjoy with coffee.
1pm will hear from speakers followed by an auction at 1:30pm and by local group Lotus with the day wrapping up by 4:30pm
Residents are encouraged to continue with the theme of Pinking up the town for the month of October with judging being done on October 27.
