Narooma CWA news


These are the smiling faces of new committee with Marisha Kelly FSCG Publicity Officer who chaired AGM.

A new CWA year has begun, and the committee installed. Marisha Kelly Far South Coast Group Publicity Officer of Moruya, happily chaired the AGM. Many of the same faces some with new roles.


Bernice Gale has moved into the President’s role and will be ably assisted by Secretary Sally James, Treasurer Margaret Doyle,vice-Presidents Joanne King, Sandra Mott, Louise Starkie and Mary Conolly. The study of Papua New Guinea will be led by International Officer Isabel Whitty, Pauline Cotterill and Chris Cathor as Handicraft Officer and assistant will nurture members at Craft mornings 10am-noon Fridays so the talents there will bring back more awards. Fun, singing and a little stage craft will led by Cultural officer Ann Alexander, with food for functions will be organised by New Catering Officer Gero Mitchell. Diana Morgan as Cookery Officer will be encouraging juniors to take part in competition in 2019. CWA Narooma would love to see some new faces in these roles next year and if you think CWA could be for you, come along to monthly meeting held 1st Friday of month at 1pm or pop into choir/drama Tuesdays choir 1.30pm -2.30pm drama 2.30pm -3.30pm or Craft Friday 10am- noon. Look out for the afternoon tea coming in November with games of Hoy (like bingo with deck of cards). There will be HSC exams held in OCT/NOV in the CWA rooms so some of these days may be affected.
