Quota Narooma news

This week saw the Quota Club of Narooma as the proud recipient of IGA Narooma's Community Chest donation of $659. Quota Narooma extends it thanks to Michelle Hewston and Dean Friskin for supporting the club through their business

From the Quota Narooma website: What does Quota do?

Assisting those with hearing and speech difficulties is a core commitment. We provide educational tools to support students with hearing and speech difficulties in local schools, including funding for individual speech therapy for students who are in great need.

We try to make the lives of disadvantaged women and children brighter by providing funds for special needs, and supporting local women’s shelters and the Narooma Youth Café.

Locally, Quota provides a Year 11 scholarship to a student in Fine and Applied Arts at Narooma High School. Our Student of the Year quest seeks the student with the top score in public speaking, general knowledge and leadership skills.

Our Trivia Nights and Meat Raffles support a range of local projects including: the Rural Fire Service, local schools, sporting clubs, Quota Park, Community Health, the Nursing Home, and the pedestrian/bicycle pathway.

World Service: Through International Dinners, raffles and garage sales, we have supported many projects. Examples include a women’s refuge in Delhi, India; the Stitch for a Living program to help deaf, hard-of-hearing and speech-impaired women provide for their families in The Philippines, and educational assistance, emergency aid and hearing aids for people in need in Fiji.
