Eurobodalla Council will resurface the playing fields at Mackay Park, Batemans Bay, from Monday 5 November to Saturday 10 November, weather permitting.
The work will involve aerating the soil using a coring machine. The area will then be top dressed with organic material to even out wear patches and improve the overall surface.
The fields will be unavailable for use while the work is underway.
The playing fields have now been used by Toll Ambulance Rescue as Batemans Bay's emergency helipad for several years. It is understood that during the works the service will be diverted to Hanging Rock oval.
The status of the reinstatement of the town's Corrigan's original helipad that was decommissioned by Eurobodalla Council is still unknown
