Excitement Builds as Indoor Aquatic Centre Moves Closer

In light of the encouraging recent announcement about progress with the long awaited Federal Government Grant, and Council’s appointment of a firm of architects to design the new Batemans Bay Regional Aquatic, Arts and Leisure Centre at Mackay Park, members of the Batemans Bay Indoor Aquatic Centre Committee (BBIACC) are looking forward to their next meeting.

The meeting will be held at 5.30pm on Monday 29 October 2018 in the View Room at the Catalina Club, where Mayor Liz Innes and Council’s Director of Planning and Sustainability Services, Lindsay Usher, will update members on progress on the Batemans Bay Aquatic and Arts Centre.

Council recently announced that a diverse range of pool user groups have been invited to participate in focus groups with the architects this month so that their needs can be reflected in the final design of the centre.

BBIACC’s stall at the recent Eurobodalla Health Expo was popular, with several visitors thanking the Committee members for their input and fund raising efforts over many years. Members distributed information and answered questions about current progress on the centre.

The Committee holds regular information and fund raising stalls in the local shopping centre, as well as sausage sizzles at Bunnings. Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting.
