Talented Tuross Head bowler selected to play in NSW Country Side

Denise Lidbury is off to Soldiers Point this weekend, 3 rd and 4 th November to play in the NSW State Annual Bowls fixture of Country versus City. There are twenty bowlers chosen for each side. Four members play in the under 25’s and eight in both the Open and Seniors.

Denise has been a member of Tuross Head Country Club Women’s Bowling Club since 1990. In that time she has won many club titles as well as District. She has participated regularly in Regional and State events. In 2018 she was a member of the Tuross Head Pennant 1 side who played at the Entrance in August in the State playoffs. She also played in the pairs, triples and fours competitions at the State level at Taren Point in September. The selectors certainly had an eye for excellence in choosing Denise to be part of the Country Seniors side. She, along with Emma Petit from Merimbula are the only two representatives from the south of New South Wales. Tuross Head Country Club is extremely proud of Denise’s efforts and wish her well in this highly contested event. We hope Country will be able to defend the title they won in 2017.
