Moruya Library will reopen on Monday 17 December - two weeks later than expected - due to unforeseen construction delays.
The library has been closed since Thursday 1 November to allow for a major renovation and expansion, which includes a new children’s area, reception, meeting room and creative space, improved staff areas and new furniture, shelving, signage, paint and carpet.
The project also includes connectivity to the new Basil Sellers Exhibition Centre, under construction adjoining the library.
The library was due to reopen Monday 3 December and will now reopen 10am Monday 17 December.
Council will hold a pop-up library service at the front of the library from Monday 3 December to Saturday 15 December.
Patrons will be able to borrow and return books from the pop-up service, however to ensure everyone has access to books during this period, borrowing will be limited to four items per person.
For more information about the project visit www.esc.nsw.gov.au and search for ‘Moruya Library, Arts and Cultural Centre’.
