The team of Bay & Coast Metal Roofing (B&CMR) of Batemans Bay were proud winners of some very prestigious industry categories at the Metal Roofing & Cladding Association of Australia (MRCAA) National Awards held recently at the Hyatt in Sydney. B&CMR were awarded winners in the following categories:
*Commercial / Industrial Roofing & Cladding under $1m - winner B&CMR
*Commercial / Industrial Roofing & Cladding over $1m - winner B&CMR
* The Rex Black overall " Excellence in Roofing Award" - winner B&CMR

The night was attended by well over 330 industry suppliers and installation companies. This is an incredible achievement from a company based in Batemans Bay to take out these major awards, which is a result of many years building a great team of apprentices, tradesman & managers with Neil Smith, of Bay & Coast Metal Roofing saying the honour was “huge”.
“We thought we’d be in the running for one, because we had a project that won the Australian Steel award,” he said.
“Then we picked up three major awards and apprentice of the year. To pick up these national awards is pretty prestigious.”
Mr Smith said the team was drawn to unusual projects.
“We take on different projects, things other people don’t like to do,” he said.
“We love it, we thrive on the challenge, and it keeps us sharp.”
The prestigious award for best projects in NSW being Willinga Park and the Shellharbour Surf Club were presented to B&CMR at the end of the evening, capping off what was a great achievement for the company. In October this year Bay & Coast Metal Roofing won Best NSW project at the Australian Steel Industry Awards for Willinga Park Grand Stand. B&CMR have been nominated in the upcoming national Australian awards for combined use of steel roofing & cladding at Willinga Park. This achievement alone shows how we continually get it right." added Neil Adding to the night that already saw a bevy of awards for B&CMR came the announcement of Apprentice of the year. Ryan Mitchell of Bay & Coast Metal Roofing (B&CMR) Neil said "Ryan's outstanding achievements throughout his time has put him up there, and he is held in high esteem by his peers. After a nervous start he took to the ceremony and was given a rousing applause from the 330+ strong crowd on the night."
