Drivers are advised that there has been an accident on Beach Road between the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club and Pacific Street.
South Bound Traffic coming from the highway is now being diverted at Beach Road down Flora Cres and then along the Old Princes Highway to loop back onto Beach Road via Pacific Street - and vice versa.
The details of the accident are not released however it has been advised that the detour may be in place for some time.
The team at 2EC report:
"A 60-year-old motorcyclist has been choppered to Canberra Hospital after a collision with a car, in Beach Road Batemans Bay, earlier this afternoon. The man was thrown off the bike on to on the windscreen of the car. A NSW Ambulance spokesman says he is a serious but stable condition."
This incident is NOT on Livetraffic so take care, follow directions and allow for extra travel time A Eurobodalla Shire Council spokesperson has advised that the road was likely to remain closed until late Friday afternoon.
