With golf carts, buggies and players suitably attired for the annual Vets Golf Christmas party day 4 person Ambrose event, 67 players registered to play.
Winners on the day were Annette and Ian Manton teaming with Jeanette and Ian Miller with an excellent nett score of 26.25, finishing the round 2 under the card off the stick. Runners up were the team of Robert McKirdy, Michael Godford, Michael Kermode and Lance Shadbolt with an even score of 27. Third place was taken out by husband and wife pairing Steve and Teri Swanbury partnering Tony Crook and Graham Pratt on 27.62.
The Bradman award went to Kay and Alan McLeod partnering Margaret and Ray Downey, although it must be said the range of scores from lowest to highest was not overly large. Nearest the Pins went to Michael Kermode on the 4th, Lance Shadbolt on the 6th, and Gayle Macalpine and Ian Manton on the 7th, Ian winning on a toss of the coin from Noel Fletcher. Michael Godford hit a long and very accurate drive on the 5th to take out the Accuracy award.
