Acoustic artist Matt Glass songs capture time, giving voice to our loves and fears and yearnings. He broke out onto the scene with his debut album Famous Last Words in 2011, with the single Setting Sun leaping to number 1 on the Triple J Unearthed Roots Charts.

Making a name on the Melbourne underground scene performing at iconic venues such as The Espy and the Wesley Anne with his band The Loose Cannons, Matt Glass is going from strength to strength and recently took out first prize in the Snowy Mountains of Music Festival’s online busking competition. The Last Time unravels Matt Glass’ gentle vulnerability and an instinctive songwriting nous that evokes the likes of Josh Pyke and Whitley. With a warm resonant vocal quality akin to Jimmy Little, The Last Time is both soulful and bittersweet, peppered with an alt-country undertone reminiscent of a modern Johnny Cash. This is Matt Glass’ first single from his outstanding second studio album, The Spaces In Between.

The Cannons bring an amazing energy to their live show, with stomping indie folk, bluegrass, and soaring harmonies.
