PCYC'S Greg Curry returns from Everest base camp fundraiser for local youth

Local Eurobodalla Police Citizens Youth Club organiser Senior Constable Greg Curry has achieved a lifelong ambition of trekking to Everest Base camp while also making a difference for a cause that's close to his heart. Making the trek enabled him to put in place a fundraising effort for the Police Citizens Youth Clubs NSW (PCYC) "Fit for Life" program

Greg said "I have worked with the NSW Police Force for 28 years with the last five years with PCYC. During this time I have seen firsthand the difference programs like "Fit for Life" make to young people and the community, by engaging them, getting them active in life and ultimately empowering them."

"Since working with PCYC, I have found this at times to be some of the most challenging and rewarding work I have done in my career. The opportunity to trek to Everest base camp was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and by enabling this adventure to raise money to keep programs like "Fit for Life" running then its a win/win."

The small group of passionate PCYC trekkers including Greg travelled to Kathmandu in November to embark on a 13 day trek to Mount Everest Base Camp raising, to date $26,000 funds for PCYC NSW to support disengaged young people.
