Information on armed pharmacy theft in Batemans Bay Dec 27th


Police are still appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Batemans Bay Dec 27th.

About 12pm (Thursday 27 December 2018), a man armed with a hammer entered a pharmacy on Orient Street, Batemans Bay and threatened staff, before stealing medication and fleeing the scene.

The man last seen driving a white sedan, believed to be a Hyundai Elantra, travelling south on Orient Street and then west on Beach Road, Batemans Bay.





The vehicle was displaying stolen Victorian registration plates QGK 929.

Officers from South Coast Police District attended and commenced an investigation.

CCTV images have now been released depicting a man who police believe may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man depicted in the images is between 175cm and 185cm tall, of a solid build, unshaven, wearing a white t-shirt, white cap, blue or green board shorts and was seen with a dog.

Police are warning members of the public not to approach the man or vehicle and to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 if sighted.
