Moruya women’s refuge benefit from SAGE Veggies for All program

SAGE Veggies for All program recently installed vegetable garden beds at Moruya women’s refuge for families and children to enjoy. SEWACS (Southeast Women and Children’s Services) are delighted with this addition to the facilities offered at the refuge.

The SAGE Veggies for All 2018 program has been provided with funding through a grant to establish vegetable gardens in the community. The beds at Moruya women’s refuge are the 83rd and 84th beds to be established, with volunteers assisting to barrow 3 cubic metres of soil provided by D & A Excavators of Bodalla. Tomato and cabbage seedlings were provided by Andrew Baker, one of the volunteers.
