​Australia Day weekend at Willinga Park


Australia Day weekend is a time to celebrate all things Aussie, and what’s more Australian than great food, in an amazing location and some good old Aussie cowboys?

Bawley Point’s world-class equestrian centre and sculpture garden, Willinga Park, is hosting Rooftop Express, an action-packed cowboy and cattle show, filled with horse feats and daring cattle stunts. The show will be at Willinga Park for two nights only on Australia Day weekend.

Rooftop Express is the quintessential Aussie outback experience. You’ll see their amazing team of stockmen and stockwomen as they entertain the whole family in a brand-new, never-before-seen, outback adventure on the South Coast.


Willinga Park is known for its sensational gardens, breathtaking sculptures and world-class equine facilities. For the first time, for this event, they are opening their doors to the public in the January school holidays. For two big nights only, you can come and enjoy a beautiful afternoon of food and wine, local stalls, take a guided tour of the award-winning Willinga Park equestrian complex and enjoy carriage driving, showjumping and the Rooftop Express as they all entertain you throughout the afternoon and into the evening with their best cowboys, horses, cattle, and dogs


Extreme Carriage driving is all about teamwork, imagine seeing 4 horses a driver and a groom working in complete unison to tackle a tight tricky obstacle course. Well this weekend January Willinga Park have some of the best coming down to show the serious and fun that Extreme Carrige driving is all about! Full Program

1:30pm – Gates Open

2pm – 3pm Extreme Carriage Driving

Watch 4-in-hand teams of horses and carriages battle it out to see who will reign supreme in a nail-biting feat of horses and humans working as the ultimate team.

3:30pm – 4:30pm Showjumping Scurry

The best of Australian showjumpers are returning to Willinga Park to battle it out for the inaugural Australia Day Willinga Park Cup. These riders are here for a good time, not a long time. The fastest combination across the line wins it. Who can get there and clinch the cup?

4:40pm – 5pm Brett Petty working Cattle Dog demonstration

Ever wondered how we work the 500+ Hereford Cattle we have here on the property, Brett our Farm Manager spends his day on the land and although he’s good it’s his mates that do a lot of the heavy lifting, meet Brett and his dogs and see how our farmers make their life easier

5pm – 5:30pm Dave Meets Dave

What happens when Dave Cameron, two-time Australian Showjumping Champion meets Dave Manchon, world-class reining and stock horse competitor? Anything can and will happen as these two legends show what makes them the best in the business.

5:30pm – 6:30pm Ride and Drive

Which team can win? We split the arena in half and have them go head-to-head to see who is the best at carriage driving and showjumping. Choose your side and start to scream as loud as you can.

7pm FEATURE Roof Top Express’s Brumby Muster

This is the event to book your seat for! It’s the most talked about Arena Show in the country—Willinga Park is bringing the Bush to the Beach!

Dave Manchon’s exciting equine arena shows are recognised as providing some of the most exciting and talked about moments seen in the equine industry today. After runaway success around Australia, Dave is bringing his brand new ‘Brumby Muster’ Show to Willinga Park as part of their Australia Day Celebrations in 2019.

With refined and visually enchanting moments that take horseplay to a new level, the Brumby Muster is an interactive show that will make you catch your breath as you watch. It’s a must-see for anyone that has ever wanted to put on a cowboy hat!

With a list of world-first stunts in his holster, Dave Manchon and his team will gallop into the main arena over two big nights on the 25th and 26th of January. Their show is sure to get hearts racing and whips cracking.

Full of cheeky moments, with funny man Anthony Cootes, the Rooftop team saddle up with an all-star line up of blue ribbon horses, ponies, high-fiving dogs, Brahman cattle and their unmistakably blue IVECO trucks.

Watch Dave as he celebrates the bond between horses and humans and brings the Bush to the Beach at Bawley Point NSW.

The Rooftop Express Production is partnering with Willinga Park to share an uplifting message about horsemanship, primary production and why it is a great time to be an Australian Stockman.
