The Nature Coast Alliance, in their latest media release (Jan 24th) say "Should it be implemented in its current form, the Eurobodalla RLS would be an unfolding environmental, economic and public safety disaster. The NCA therefore urges Planning Minister Roberts to send the Strategy back to Council for revision to heed the advice of the 6 NSW state agencies. We must ensure that we learn the lessons arising from the Lower Darling/Menindee Lakes catastrophe." A number of oyster growers in the Eurobodalla Shire have raised concerns about proposed changes to zoning particularly over riparian land. They have identified a number of ways these changes could potentially impact the sensitive water systems used for aquaculture in the region.
