This will require the closure of the Ampol Jetty (adjacent to Innes Boatshed and Starfi sh Deli) for exclusive use by the cruise tenders, RMS and Australian Border Force personnel from approximately 7am to 5pm.

The Seabourn Encore is on a 16-day NZ & Australia cruise which started in Auckland and will finish in Sydney next Thursday. It is understood that the addition of Batemans Bay to the itinerary was "due to operational issues" but that the last minute inclusion is likely to have been influenced by the successful visit of the Seabourn Sojourn in October.

The Encore will have 557 passengers on board and nearly 300 crew. Passengers are mostly from the USA and Canada, with some Europeans and Australians also on board. Stats: Average age is 71 The largest age demographic is between 66-74 years. 50% Female 50% Male The ship is expected to arrive at around 7.00am, mooring near the Tollgate Islands with tenders transporting passengers into the Bay.

The ship will spend the full day in port, departing at around 4.00pm. Eurobodalla Council's Tourism & Events team will have a Welcome Marquee set up at the arrival jetty adjacent to the Starfish Deli Cafe to ensure passengers are warmly received, and have access to information on things to see and do while they are in town. The South Coast Travel Guide has published a six page on-line orientation brochure for passengers to enjoy before they arrive. http://bit.ly/SeabournEncoreBBayFeb2019
