A near whole of shire power outage left more than 16,000 customers without power across the Eurobodalla this morning. The blackout kicked in around 4:45am this morning with the Essential Energy Outage Hotline saying the outage was from Long Beach to Mystery Bay inclusive. Essential Energy advise the blackout was caused by a fault in the zone substation with network protection equipment isolating supply to the area. Once the fault was identified Essential Energy crews were able to bypass the failure and restore power to the network that saw the progressive restoration of supply to the majority of customers between 6:10am and 6:35am
