THE nearing annual general meeting and changeover luncheon were the main topics of discussion at a meeting of Moruya Probus Club committee at Moruya Golf Club on Tuesday morning…both will be on March 26. Secretary Di Montgomerie said there had already been nominations for some positions, but more were needed. The other Probus Clubs in the shire were being invited for the day, president Max Hogno said. The next monthly meeting of the Club will be at the Golf Club on February 26. Bingie resident Rudi Langeveld will be the guest speaker, talking about Air BnB with his experiences of the system, from the inside and out. Moruya Probus meets at Moruya Golf Club at ten-o’clock on the fourth Tuesday of each month. There are many advantages with being a member of Probus. Apart from meeting new friends, and sometimes some old ones, there are opportunities of being involved in outings. There are discounts for some members with restaurants and hotels and more reasonable travel insurance rates that seniors may otherwise be offered. Potential new members are always welcome at Moruya Probus monthly meetings…subsequent joining isn’t obligatory, but preferred.
