Community members involved in primary production or rural industry are invited to express their interest in joining a new committee that will help distribute funds raised locally for drought relief.
November’s Eurobodalla Raindance raised more than $44,000 for drought relief, 75 per cent of which has been forwarded to Eurobodalla's sister shire Cobar.
Eurobodalla Council’s Drought Relief Community Steering Committee will provide advice to Council on effective governance and help select recipients of the remaining funds.
There are three positions available on the committee, and prospective members are required to demonstrate how they are commercially active in primary production or rural industry.
For more information, including the committee’s terms of reference, visit Council’s website http://www.esc.nsw.gov.au/inside-council/council/meetings/information/committees/drought-relief-community-steering-committee or phone Council’s Executive Services office on 4474 1005.
Expressions of interest close 4.30pm on Wednesday 13 March, 2019
