Sunday afternoon saw Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopters @Lifesaverhelo called to Snapper Island, Batemans Bay, following an alert that there was a kayaker in distress.
The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter Lifesaver 23 crew spotted the kayaker waving safely from the island and identified his semi-submerged sit-on kayak floating nearby.
A Batemans Bay Surf Life Saving Club crew arrived by inflatable craft and returned the kayaker and his kayak to safety
