In their first concert series for 2019, string trio Three Piece Suite will present a celebration of French music at St John's Moruya on Sunday March 17th at 4pm with a diverse selection of French born and bred and adopted composers.
Drawing on 500 years of music, Rachel Westwood, violin, Valmai Coggins, viola and Deborah Coogan, cello will evoke the French salon, cathedral, countryside and even a touch of Casablanca with works and arrangements for string trio by Pleyel, Pierne, Debussy, Cras and Francaix. All with that style, wit and je ne sais quois that exemplifies the Gallic. The date will also mark the trio’s 5th anniversary of performing together.
Tickets can be purchased at the door (cash only) or at tpschambermusic.com $25 for adults, $5 for children. The concert will last for about 75 minutes and afterwards you can join the musicians in the hall for a magnifique afternoon tea. Vive la France!
