Motorists are advised the Wallaga Lake Bridge will remain open to traffic from this week following the early completion of the first stage of maintenance work.
For the safety of motorists and workers, Wallaga Lake Bridge was closed to traffic on weekdays throughout February while bridge pilings were installed.
Work on stage one was completed a month ahead of schedule and the weekday closure of the bridge has been lifted.
Motorists will no longer be detoured via the Princes Highway and Cobargo Bermagui Road.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and check electronic message boards for updates on the next stage of work.
Roads and Maritime Services thanks the community for its patience while work was carried out.
