Community Life Hope House and Ice Turning Family Pain Into Power are hosting a tough love seminar in Batemans Bay on April 3rd which is being supported by the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club and the Lions Club Batemans Bay. The facilitator is Peter Lyndon-James the founder of one of Australia’s toughest homelessness shelters for men Shalom House in Perth.

Mr Lyndon-James (above) grew up in foster homes and ended up in a life of crime, drug addiction and prison from which he thought there was no escape. By the age of 30 he had spent time in every prison in Western Australia and was making $40,000 a day in methaphetamene.
Mr Lyndon-James was released from prison in 2001 and decided to stop using drugs and start helping men with the same issues as him. He founded Shalom House. Peter specialises in showing families how to bring a person to the point of making a decision to change their lives and showing them how.
Peter is a 2017 Australian of the year finalist and the 2017 Western Australian of the year and the Western Australian of the year in 2018.
Shalom House in Perth is regarded as the toughest homeless shelter in Australia and Peter Lyndon -James is widely regarded as a leader in this field.
He will be appearing in Batemans Bay at The Soldiers Club on April 3rd from 1.30pm till 4.30pm and at the RSL Hall in Moruya on Thursday night April 4th from 7till 10pm hosted by Ice Turning Family Pain Into Power.
