BERMAGUI SEWAGE SPILL
Bega Valley Shire Council have advised the community of a choke in a sewer line this morning that has resulted in a sewage spill entering the Bermagui River upstream of the bridge. They ask, as a precaution, that the public defer swimming and paddle boarding in the river for the next 48 hours. Council staff are onsite containing the spill and undertaking the clean up and signage has been erected at the boat ramp and popular swimming sites downstream of the bridge.
