Children’s technology and development expert Dr Kristy Goodwin will be available to help Eurobodalla parents take the guesswork and guilt out of raising kids in the digital age at the Be Ready Roadshow next week.
Designed for families with a child starting school next year, the roadshow is an opportunity for parents and carers to learn directly from early-childhood health and development specialists, services, schools and other parents, about how to prepare their child for big school.
Highly-sought after speaker on the impact of technology on young children’s health, Dr Kristy Goodwin, is headlining the events.
Council’s supported playgroups coordinator Lisa Heinze said parents would have the chance to talk to Dr Kristy one-on-one, and hear from her in a panel-forum style setting, about the impacts technology has on children’s learning and overall wellbeing.
“Dr Kristy will be at the roadshow to help Eurobodalla parents demystify the many misconceptions about raising kids in a digital world and empower them with simple ways they can use technology to support, not stifle their development,” she said.

“It’s the second time we’ve asked Dr Kristy to come down to talk to Eurobodalla families – we had such fantastic feedback after she first visited in 2017.
“Her previous clients include Apple, Nickelodeon Junior Channel, McDonald’s, the NSW Government, to name few, and she’s also worked with various multimedia companies developing educational multimedia programs. We’re so lucky to have someone with her expertise be available to meet with parents directly.”
Held from 6pm-8pm, the evenings will start with a meet and greet where parents can chat informally with schools, services, and experts, followed by a panel-style forum where experts will answer questions about school readiness.

The Be Ready Roadshow will be held from 6-8pm on Wednesday 27 March at Narooma Library, Thursday 28 March at Batemans Bay Library, and Friday 29 March at Moruya Library.
