The Tuross Head Fishing Club (THFC) recently held a fishing morning with some of the IRT retirement home members. Under perfect conditions by the Moruya River some 35 fish were caught and released but to those enjoying casting a line and the outdoor experience the size of the fish did not matter. Max Castle, of the fishing club said "It was the outing, fresh air, meeting new people, showing somebody cared and participating in an interest they loved. It was a lovely day - no wind or rain! Feedback from IRT is that they would love to go again!" The Moruya fishing platform was not large enough for this event so the public jetty was used.
The THFC President would like to thank the supporters who were Eurobodalla Council Mayor (morning tea), Moruya Fishing World (rods/reels/tackle/bait/caps), Tuross Country Club (water/ice/chair) and Tuross Fishing Club members who donated their time. Photos below courtesy of Tackle World Moruya
