Youth Week  Wed 10 Apr to Thurs 18 April


Youth Week is a time of celebration for Australia’s young people, share ideas, have their voices heard, showcase their talents and talk up their contribution to the community.


Youth Week 2019 events:

Aboriginal Bike Safety Program

Friday 12 April, 2-5pm, Gundary Oval, Campbell Street, Moruya.

A free workshop for Aboriginal and disadvantaged children run by training organisation BIKE and FITNESS covering practical bike maintenance, repair and handling skills, tips for safe riding within the community and the basics of NSW road rules. Each participant receives a free bike helmet decorated with Aboriginal artwork, free bike bell and free bike service.

Narooma skate park competition

Saturday 13 April, 10.30am-2.30pm, Riverside Drive, Narooma.

Young people who skateboard, BMX or scoot can learn new tricks and compete for prizes at this free event, which includes music, food and good vibes. For all ages and abilities.

Moruya skate park competition

Sunday 14 April, 10.30am-2.30pm, Shore Street, Moruya.

Young people who skateboard, BMX or scoot can learn new tricks and compete for prizes at this free event, which includes music, food and good vibes. For all ages and abilities.

Youth Street @ Moruya Country Markets

Saturday 13 April, 8am-12.30pm, Riverside Park, Moruya.

Eurobodalla’s youth showcase their products or business ideas at Moruya Country Markets. Bring your cash and browse the exciting ideas the next generation of entrepreneurs has to offer.

Pop-up drive-in movie

Wednesday 17 April, 6.30-9.30pm, Riverside Park, Moruya.

Experience the old-school feels of the drive-in watching the classic film, Back to the Future, to celebrate Youth Week 2019. $10 per car or gold coin donation to bring a blanket and sit on the grass.

Youth Week Silent Disco

Thursday 18 April, 6-9pm, Twist Factory, 3/4 Hopkins Place, Narooma.

Get together for a dance and a laugh and show your support for teens living with diabetes. Wireless headphones provided for participants to tune into one of the three channels, pumped out by a DJ. $5 at the door
