Eurobodalla PALZ to be Launched


Eurobodalla Meals on Wheels is establishing PALZ within the Eurobodalla.

PALZ is to assist professionals with Alzheimer’s.

On Tuesday May 7th, at 10am, the first meeting will be held at Banksia Village in their Heath Street Board room. The meeting will include a guest speaker and discussion. It will finish at noon and entry is by a gold coin.

This developing organisation has branches throughout Australia and in London.

PALZ is aimed at professionals with Alzheimer’s so they can continue to function intellectually as they did in the past, according to founder Cathy Roth of Geelong.

PALZ Eurobodalla Professional with Alzheimers Background This is a programme started in Geelong by Cathy Roth OAM, and is gradually going global. It now operates in Geelong, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and London. Eurobodalla Meals on Wheels, with some assistance from Banksia Villages, is establishing this programme within the Shire to assist Professionals with Alzheimer’s to continue to function intellectually at the level they did in the past. The programme will run every two months. It will be based in the Boardroom at Banksia Village, 69 Heath Street, Broulee. The programme is based around interesting speakers making a presentation followed by some discussion. It is to challenge, stimulate ideas and enable discussion. Organisation The organisation will be conducted by Eurobodalla Meals on Wheels.The development of the programme of speakers will be the responsibility of Eurobodalla Meals on Wheels but any suggestions you may have would be appreciated. The registration for each meeting would be conducted by Eurobodalla Meals on Wheels (4474 4464).Attendance is voluntary but each person must have a carer with them. Entry is with a gold coin donation.Publicity for the meetings will be from Eurobodalla Meals on Wheels. Eurobodalla Meals on Wheels will promote the programme to health professionals and allied health organisations. The information for each meeting will be distributed in a timely manner. When The programme will start in May and it is anticipated that the first meeting would be on Tuesday 7 May.All meetings will be held in the morning from 10am and conclude at 12 noon.There will be morning tea served but not lunch.
