MORUYA Probus held a very brief meeting at Moruya Golf Club on Tuesday morning with discussion mainly relating to the monthly meeting to be held there on April 23, together with the adjourned annual meeting.
Membership officer Carolyn Winters reported the club had 61 members, with a few people showing interest in joining.
Apart from that it was decided to have a fish and chips luncheon on the riverbank on May 14, a previous one having proven very popular. Committee members then headed for O’Brien’s Hotel in Narooma for the Club’s monthly luncheon.
Moruya Probus meets at Moruya Golf Club at ten-o’clock on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
There are many advantages with being a member of Probus. Apart from meeting new friends, and sometimes some old ones, there are opportunities of being involved in outings. There are discounts for some members with restaurants and hotels and more reasonable travel insurance rates that seniors may otherwise be offered. Anyone considering membership should call president Max Hogno on 4474 2324.
