A man has died and two are in custody following a stabbing on the state’s south coast last night.
Just before 11.50pm (Saturday 13 April 2019), emergency services were called to a home at Surfside, just north of Batemans Bay, after reports of a stabbing.
Officers from South Coast Police District attended and located a 29-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to his torso. He was unable to be revived and died at the scene.
Two men – aged 18 and 48 – were arrested and taken to Batemans Bay Police Station, where they remain assisting police with their inquiries.
A crime scene has been established as detectives investigate the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
As inquiries continue, it’s believed those involved were known to each other.
