The current exhibition by 18 local artists in Narooma’s SoART Gallery is “an absolute delight”, said Cr Phil Constable in opening the exhibition on Thursday 18 April.
He complimented the artists for the vibrancy and quality of their work, a lot of which was produced during workshops in the School of Arts’ Studios.
“The Studios provide a wonderful fraternity in a supportive and non-threatening environment where artists can develop,” he said.
“The popularity of this exhibition, where far more artists wanted to take part than space allowed, demonstrates strongly the need for more expansive facilities in Narooma.”
Works on display cover a variety of media, from jewellery to pencil drawings, from sculpture to acrylics and pastels.
The exhibition at SoART Gallery is open until Saturday 27 April.
