Tuross Head Country Club men’s golfer’s competed in a par event on Saturday and Paul Scholze emerged as the winner, with a score of plus 2, on a countback from Mark Haberkorn.

In a round of very close scores throughout the competition, David Dow finished in third place with an even score, ahead on a countback from Bruce Lidbury and Anthony Lore.
Local golfers are reminded that the club championships are due to start on Saturday May 5th and it is expected to be played over three rounds.
Nearest the pins were won by:
A grade division golfer Ben Hewison on the 4th hole with 1.63 m.
Lachlan Nordsvan won the 6th with 2.38 m and Peter Nikolic was closest on the 6th hole with 2.72 m.
Peter Garn was the best of the B grade golfers on the 4th hole with a close 81 centimetres.
Darryl Kidney won the 6th with 2.47m and Michael Stark the 6th with 7.38 m.
Stuart Tierney was the best of the C grade golfers on the 4th hole 3.68 m and Graham Bell was closest on the 6th hole with 3.09 m.
Thursday’s medley stableford competition was won by Peter McRae with a high 42 points ahead of
Tony Russell 38 points, Ron Rogers and Stephen Swanbury both finishing with 37 points.
Nearest the pins were won by Bruce Handley, Stephen Swanbury and Trevor Jones.
