Arts Alive


Art Central’s Term 2 classes are now underway until Friday 5 July; each class costs $20/$15 concession:

Mondays 10 - 12.30pm, 'Enjoy Aboriginal Art with Eileen Carberry' — a wonderful opportunity to work with a local Aboriginal artist. Then from 1 – 3pm, 'Airbrush Painting' — here you'll create beautiful artworks using airbrush acrylics, learning the techniques with expert teacher Peter.

Tuesdays, 10 - 12.30pm, 'Art with Nick' — have a go at different art styles. Learn from an experienced artist. Bring your ideas and just get started Enjoyable friendly atmosphere for men and women. From 3.30 - 4.45pm, 'Guitar Lessons;' a class for all ages from beginners to advanced, to share and learn songs for possible performance, $15 per class (need own guitar).

Wednesdays 1 – 3pm, 'Art Therapy for Wellbeing' — take some time out to invest in your own wellbeing and discover how the creative process of art making can enhance your health and wellbeing.

Thursdays 1.30 – 3.30pm, 'Painting and Drawing with Lesley' — an informal class, catering for any skill level, where you can draw or paint easy subjects with simple instructions from an experienced artist.

Fridays 10.00 -12.30pm, 'Handmade Books and Printing' — only the imagination can limit what can be achieved in making a book by hand.

Other Art Central info: If you have a skill you would like to share, and are interested in holding classes or a workshop, please phone Art Central. The cost of hiring Art Central for half-day is $45, $80 for a full day. On Tuesday 28th May, the Annual General Meeting for the Arts Council of Eurobodalla will start 1.30pm at Art Central, Moruya to which all are welcome.
