NAROOMA
South Coast Police have charged two men after being detected in a stolen vehicle in Narooma on 1 May 2019.
About 8:40am 1 May 2019, two men were sighted by Narooma Police in a Mazda CX9 that was parked Field Street, Narooma.
Police approached the car and arrested a 23 year old man, with the other person fleeing in the vehicle.
The 23 year old man was taken to Narooma Police Station and charged with being in a stolen vehicle (Be carried in a conveyance without consent) and Possess ammunition.
About 11:35am, police located the driver of the vehicle and car at Honeysuckle Camp Ground, Narooma. He was arrested.
The 27 year old driver was charged with several offences, Drive conveyance without consent of owner, Drive motor vehicle during disqualification period x 4, Dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception, and Resist police. He was also charged with Possess prohibited drug and three outstanding warrants.
The 27 year old male was bail refused for Batemans Bay Local Court on 6 May 2019. The 23 year old man was released on bail after appearing at Batemans Bay Local Court to appear on 16 May 2019.
